Make Me Whole Again (from Unfrozen – Issue #1)

by Reece Wells
Leaf on Water - Jenna Comfort
Wake me up, when the feeling is gone
The pain is taken away
Our fundamental being washed away by grace
Drenched in the feeling of flight
How far can I run?
How far have I come?

The gates are opened
And the pain is thrown
Thrown beneath the feet of the snake
Freedom is near
The taste upon my lips

What have I done?
Thrown my freedom to dirt
Dirtied by my mistakes
Dented by my sins
Abandoned by my pride
Abandoned by my shame
Abandoned and fully thrown away
I don’t feel any shame
I won’t apologize
The pain inflicted upon me
Is too close to my heart

Come back to me dear Yah
Wash me clean—
Clean from the dirt and the dents
Which I have created
Throw me unto your arms
Make me whole again
Wake me up completely
